Eligible organisations include: schools; community groups, industry associations, local government, Aboriginal corporations; not-for-profits, and private businesses. Unincorporated applications may apply if they are auspiced by an incorporated body.

Possible projects include: Waste - educating the community in regards to waste streams that their local landfill or transfer stations can accommodate, setting up infrastructure to support recycling in the community, collection of reliable data that will help communities and government establish more effective waste management plans; Pollution - establishing prevention measures that reduce/stop the level of pollution entering the environment in a specific area/industry, erecting signage near waterways; Stormwater - information for residential occupants regarding harm minimisation, mapping urban creeks and identifying points of entry for stormwater and potential pollutants.
